Book Description:
This is the first text to be devoted to the subspecialty of “Hyperbaric
Surgery.” Contributors were compiled from a distinguished group of
international physicians in HBOT to show the way surgeons are thinking when
using HBOT in their daily practice in a wide variety of indications:
Truamatology, Orthopedics, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Urology,
Surgical Oncology, Wound Healing, Burns, Soft Tissue Infections,
Cardiothoracic Surgery, Intensive Care, etc. This textbook is intended for
the practicing surgeon who has the availability of a hyperbaric chamber
facility for the treatment of patients. Color photos and illustrations
throughout the book provide detail and reveal stunning results. Hardcover,
7 x 10.25 inches, 488 pages, Coated Stock. ISBN: 1-930536-08-9

These proceedings were held in San Francisco, California in October
2002, and include 48 complete papers submitted by distinguished
physicians and scientists from around the world. The 14th International
Congress was attended by delegates from 18 countries. The goal of each
paper was to present the results of a basic science study, a clinical
investigation, a case report, or the solution to a clinical or technical
problem that occurred in a hyperbaric medicine practice. As the
invited Boerema lecturer Professor Dirk J. Bakker discussed hyperbaric
medicine in Amsterdam from a historical perspective. His classic
presentation was followed by historical reviews from pioneers at three
long-standing clinical hyperbaric facilities who summarized their
clinical experience over the past quarter century.

Proceedings of the 11th

International Congress on
HYPERBARIC MEDICINE
Edited by Frederick S. Cramer
This Proceeding is a compilation of reports given during the congress in Fuzchou, China.
The practice of hyperbaric medicine in China was the special focus of the congress.
The reports present interesting and informative views of how hyperbaric medicine
is practiced in China, in addition to summarizing views about the efficacy of hyperbaric medicine elsewhere in the world.
